Direct cash cattle trade is quiet this morning. Action is limited to the distribution of new showlists. Don’t look for a lot of trade activity until at least Wednesday or even later. Last week – light trade developed late on Friday afternoon. Live deals in the South were $109 about $1.00 higher than the previous week’s weighted average. Northern trade was much later in the day with live business $1.00 to $2.00 higher than the previous week at $109.00 to $110.00 and dressed trade was $170.00 to $172.50, mostly steady with the previous week’s weighted average basis in Nebraska.
