The United States and South Korea have agreed to amend their free trade agreement known as KORUS.
The announcement following the second round of talks established a more conciliatory tone between the two countries, following recent concerns about a U.S. withdrawal.
There are no details on the specific changes the two sides might seek, though there are some indications. The biggest issue is automobiles, but Bloomberg reports the U.S. also wants South Korea to accelerate the reduction of agricultural tariffs, many of which are being phased out slowly over ten years or longer.
