Minnesota pork producers are making progress on implementing the Secure Pork Supply Plan.
Minnesota Pork Producers Association CEO David Preisler says the plan incorporates lessons learned from disease outbreaks for other species like poultry and high-path avian influenza.
“So as a result of that, different species are putting together safe movement supply plans to make sure farmers have a premises ID number, adequate site identifications, production records, biosecurity, animal movement records.
