Soybeans were modestly higher on short covering and technical buying. The trade expects more near term harvest delays, either from recent storms in the Midwest and Plains or possibly Tropical Storm Nate in the southeast. New USDA supply, demand, and production numbers are out on the 12th, with several private estimates projecting at least some increase in the national yield and production projections. Farmer selling remains slow and cash bids at river terminals have been ticking up.
