The USDA reports corn export sales for the week ending September 28th were above most pre-report estimates, while soybeans, soybean products, and wheat were generally within expectations. Physical shipments of soybeans for the 2017/18 marketing year remain ahead of the 2016/17 pace. The 2017/18 marketing year for soybean products started October 1st, so next week’s report will have the totals for 2016/17. Weekly export numbers will be pushed back to Friday, October 13th, with many USDA offices closed for Columbus Day on Monday, October 9th.
