At the Chicago Mercantile Exchange cattle futures rebounded off of yesterday close. The anticipation of another week of improved cash prices is providing additional support to futures contracts. October live cattle closed $1.07 higher at $110.15 and December live cattle closed $1.12 higher at $116.05. October feeder cattle closed $1.47 higher at $153.57 and November feeder cattle closed $1.35 higher.
Direct cash cattle trade is at a virtual standstill with just a handful of trades reported in Iowa.
