National Cooperative Bank has released its annual list of the nation’s top revenue-earning agricultural co-ops.
In 2016, Minnesota-based CHS remained atop the ag sector, generating more than $30 billion dollars.
Dairy Farmers of America, headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri, was second with revenues above $13 billion.
Rounding out the top five ag co-ops are Land O’Lakes, GROWMARK, and Ag Processing.
The NCB list is the only report of its kind to track the profits and successes of cooperative businesses in the United States.
