
A northeast Indiana farmer says although he’s just started soybean harvest, he may need to switch to corn.
Roger Hadley says rain is in the forecast for the next several days.
“Once it dries up we may have a chance to get into corn quicker than we do soybeans,” he says. “So we may switch over to corn then and try to knock out some of that first hundred acres of corn that we planted in April.”
He tells Brownfield he would prefer a cool and dry fall, but late-season rains could help soybean yields.
