The U.S. soybean harvest made good progress over the past week, while corn continues to trail the usual pace.
Harvest conditions for most of last week were generally good, but parts of the Midwest and Plains did receive some scattered rainfall and some producers are apparently letting corn dry in the fields because of higher dry down costs.
17% of U.S. corn is harvested, compared to 10% the previous week and the five year average of 26%, while 96% of the crop has dented and 68% has reached maturity, both also behind normal.
