The Senate Ag Committee is scheduled to vote later today on the nominations of Steve Censky to be deputy agriculture secretary and Ted McKinney to be USDA’s first undersecretary for trade.
If approved, the nominations will go to the full Senate for a final vote.
Censky is CEO of the American Soybean Association and McKinney is Indiana’s ag director.
On Thursday, the Senate Ag Committee will hold a hearing for a another pair of USDA undersecretary nominees: Iowa ag secretary Bill Northey to head farm and conservation programs, and Nebraska ag director Greg Ibach to oversee marketing and regulatory programs.
