Harvest in the heart of Minnesota’s sugar beet growing region is on schedule with yield potential that rivals the record crop of 2015.
Todd Geselius, vice president of agriculture at Southern Minnesota Beet Sugar Cooperative in Renville, calls the spring contentious because planting windows were limited by cool and wet conditions.
