Direct cash cattle trade is quiet with action limited to the distribution of new showlists. Last week light to moderate trade took place in the South on Thursday – with most of the deals at $108 steady with the previous week’s weighted average. However, there were a few scattered sales in Texas on Friday at $108.50. The majority of trade in the North took place on Friday with a range of $168.00 to $172.00 about $1.00 to $2.00 higher than the previous week’s weighted average basis in Nebraska.
