Iowa’s corn harvest is officially underway, but the pace of harvest is nearly two weeks behind the five-year average.
As of Sunday, six percent of Iowa’s corn crop was harvested, compared to 18 percent normal for the first of October.
Soybean harvest was 16 percent complete, three days behind average.
