Michigan farmers continued to take advantage of dry conditions with the harvest of various crops rapidly progressing.
The latest report from USDA shows there were more than six days suitable for fieldwork last week, with warmth early in the week giving way to cooler temperatures.
The harvest of corn for silage advanced to 60 percent complete, with soybean harvest now in full swing.
Dry bean harvest is winding down in southeast Michigan, and the lifting of sugar beets is pacing a few days ahead of normal.
