Soybeans were higher on short covering and technical buying. U.S. conditions generally look non-threatening and many forecasts have rain in dry parts of Brazil over the next few days. Quarterly stocks were up sharply on the year, but lower than what many were expecting. Demand remains strong, with U.S. prices FOB at the Gulf below Brazil. Export demand, which has been on a hot streak lately. will continue to be closely watched. The next major report is the supply, demand, and production update, out October 12th.
