Ohio farmer and past president of the National Corn Growers Association Fred Yoder has been named co-chair of Solutions from the Land (SfL).
Yoder says the nonprofit supports all types of farming, whether it is organic or conventional, and encourages practices that will lead to cleaner air and water.
He tells Brownfield conservation practices like no-till and cover crops improve soil and ultimately yield, but it starts with the farmer.
“Those solutions have to come from farmers,” he says.
