A south-central Nebraska farmer is anticipating a big harvest this fall.
Steve Hosier of Giltner, Nebraska says this summer’s weather was just about perfect in his area and he thinks it will be reflected in his corn and soybean yields.
Before rains set in this week, Hosier was able to harvest some soybeans planted on dryland corners—the non-irrigated corners of center pivots. “(They were) running between 70 and 80 bushels on the dryland.
