A central Ohio farmer says soybean harvest is off to a good start.
Fred Yoder grows corn, soybeans, and wheat west of Columbus.
“The yields are good,” he says. “They’re 60-70+ so we’re very happy with that.”
He tells Brownfield he will probably harvest soybeans for another 10 days before moving on to corn.
“I think the corn is probably going to be a little more suspect because we had a lot of replant last spring, but early reports are that they’re at least a good average crop,” he says.
