The Ports of Indiana is considering adding a fourth port in southeast Indiana along the Ohio River.
Ed Ebert with the Indiana Soybean Alliance and Indiana Corn Marketing Council says it will make Indiana farmers more competitive.
“The ability to have this additional export facility allows for Indiana farmers to compete on a global basis and not just strictly in a domestic market,” he says.
He tells Brownfield an additional port would be good for Indiana agriculture.
