It’s official—Bill Northey and Greg Ibach are headed to the USDA.

After months of speculation, President Trump announced late today the nominations of Nebraska ag director Ibach as Under Secretary for Marketing and Regulatory Programs (MRP) and Iowa ag secretary Northey as Under Secretary for Farm Production and Conservation (FPAC).

The Under Secretary for MRP oversees three USDA agencies: the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service; the Agricultural Marketing Service; and the Grain Inspection, Packers, and Stockyards Administration.
