Direct cash cattle trade is non-existent ahead of the long holiday weekend and it looks like business could be done for the week. Trade volumes for the week look to be moderate, at best. If there is carryover into next week, showlists could be somewhat larger when examined on Tuesday and interest from short-bought packers could be piqued.
Boxed beef cutout is weak at the midday. Choice is down $.34 at $191.57 and Select is down $.31 at $191.03.
