There’s a slight chance crops in parts of the Upper Midwest could be exposed to an early frost next week.
Dennis Todey directs the USDA Midwest Climate Hub based in Ames, Iowa.
“There seems to be a very small risk for anything near freezing conditions, except for maybe far northern areas like northern North Dakota, northern Minnesota (and) northern Wisconsin.”
He points out not much corn or soybeans are grown that far north.
