At the Chicago Mercantile Exchange live and feeder cattle futures were lower again on pressure from this week’s direct cash cattle business and technical selling. Feeders had additional pressure on the higher move in corn. October live cattle closed $.72 lower at $105.40 and December live cattle closed down $.25 at $109.10. September feeder cattle ended the day down $1.17 at $142.57 and October feeder cattle closed down $.82 at $143.30.
Direct cash cattle trade is developing in parts of the South and in Nebraska.
