The Renewable Fuels Association (RFA) is applauding the EPA for granting an expanded fuel waiver in response to concerns about fuel shortages resulting from Hurricane Harvey.
RFA says the move effectively ends the summer volatility control season for E15 in 12 states and will allow broader use of the blend of 15 percent ethanol and 85 percent regular gasoline.
The waiver applies to Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia.
