Variability is the best word to describe the crops in Illinois this year. That, according to Lance Tarochione, Dekalb/Asgrow Technical Agronomist in a conversation with Brownfield at the 2017 Farm Progress Show. The year got off to a challenging start with emergence issues and tough replant decisions in many areas. Those fields that got off to a better start – whether or not there was a replant involved – are doing very well at this point.
