The USDA has lowered its ag export forecast for fiscal year 2018 to 139 billion dollars, slightly less than its current fiscal 2017 projection of 139.8 billion.
“Not a real big drop,” says USDA chief economist Rob Johansson,” I would say, at this point, pretty much steady as she goes.”
Johansson says there are several factors supporting exports in the coming year.
“We still see the benefits of an improving global economy,” he says.
