Direct cash cattle trade is taking shape with bids in Nebraska reported at $105 live and $165 to $166 dressed, roughly $3 to $4 lower than last week’s weighted average basis. DTN reports about 1,000 head of cattle sold in Iowa at $105.00 with a postponed delivery date. Asking prices are expected to $108.00 plus in the South and $175 plus in the North.
There was both a better offering and better sales results at this week’s Fed Cattle Exchange with 1,777 head offered and 1,140 sold.
