The director of the Port of Indiana in Jeffersonville says agriculture plays a fundamental role in the port’s daily activities.
Scott Stewart says it is a connection to the world for outbound grain and inbound fertilizer and it is important for farmers to see first-hand the value of water transportation.
“When you think about Jeffersonville and the Louisville area broadly, it’s an extraordinary opportunity for farmers in our state to take advantage of markets near and far,” he said.
