Direct cash cattle trade is at a standstill and any significant trade volume isn’t anticipated until Wednesday – or later. Early guesses have asking prices around $108 to $110 in the South and $173.00 plus in the North.
Boxed beef cutout is firm to sharply higher with moderate box movement. Choice is up $.04 at $191.54 and Select is up $1.77 at $190.39.
At the Oklahoma National Stockyards, receipts totaled 5,100 head, up more than 700 from the previous week.
