South Dakota’s crops are showing some improvement, thanks to recent rains.
The state’s corn crop is rated 46 percent good to excellent and 30 percent fair. Twenty-three percent of the crop has dented, behind the 40 percent average. Soybeans rated 49 percent good to excellent and 34 percent fair. Five percent of soybeans were dropping leaves, behind the 12 average.
