The president of the Minnesota Farmers Union (MFU) is calling for a bipartisan solution to the rural healthcare crisis.
“Basically what it gets down to is people are tired of politicians playing politics with our healthcare needs, and it’s time to put the partisanship aside and sit down together to figure something out.”
Gary Wertish says during a series of rural discussion meetings hosted by MFU earlier this year, rising healthcare costs was among the top issues brought up by Minnesota farmers and others on individual health plans.
