Brownfield reporter awarded for teamwork with Michigan farm media

Partnership among Michigan farm media outlets was recognized by the American Agricultural Editor’s Association during a recent awards program.
Brownfield Anchor/Reporter Nicole Heslip paired up with the Michigan Farmer Magazine and Michigan Farm News to highlight the need for agricultural educators in a series of stories shared throughout the summer of 2016.
Michigan Farmer Magazine editor Jennifer Kiel spear-headed the effort and devised a strategy with Heslip and Michigan Farm News editor Paul Jackson to explain how a lack of ag educators is putting many agriscience programs in jeopardy in Michigan and across the country.
