Direct cash cattle markets are quiet. Buying interest is expected to improve as the day goes on, but more of this week’s business could still wait until after Friday’s cattle on feed report. Most analysts expect the major categories to be above a year ago. Asking prices are $108 to $110 on the live basis and $175+ dressed. Bids are limited to Nebraska, at least so far, at $106 to $107 live and $170 to $173 dressed.
