Ethanol groups continue to pressure the EPA and Congress to lift the Reid Vapor Pressure (RVP) restriction on E15.
The RVP rule blocks the sale of E15 in most areas of the country during the summer driving season. Brian Jennings, executive vice president of the American Coalition for Ethanol (ACE), says the regulation handcuffs gas station owners who want to offer E15 to their customers year-round.
“What the retailers have to do is put that warning sticker on (the pump) and say, ‘If you don’t drive a flexible fuel vehicle, you’re not supposed to use that fuel’.
