A Vermillion County, Illinois farmer says crops in East Central Illinois are hit and miss. Lynn Rohrscheib of Fairmount tells Brownfield she grows mid-to-late group three soybeans which are a later soybean variety.
“We’ve caught some of those August and last-part-of-July rains, so our soybeans are starting to look really good,” Rohrscheib told Brownfield Ag News, “whereas we were really hoping and praying for a rain to come to fill out those pods.”
Some earlier soybean varieties, she says, are not looking quite as good.
