More than 3,000 head of livestock will be moving onto the Minnesota State Fairgrounds today in preparation of this weekend’s 4-H Beef Show.
Coordinator Kent Thiesse says there’s a great leadup to Saturday.
“Things really kick off on the first day of the Fair (Thursday with) the breeding show, cow/calf pairs and breeding heifers, which is close to 300 entries. That starts at 1 in the afternoon in AgStar Arena, soon to be known as Compeer Arena.”
Friday features the 4-H market beef and dairy steer shows, as well as prospect calf and dairy showmanship.
