From the American Egg Board:
The USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) says the chance of any human health impact from shell eggs treated with the insecticide fipronil is extremely low. A criminal investigation is going on in the Netherlands where contaminated eggs have been found in 15 European countries and Hong Kong.
The FSIS says the US is not currently receiving egg products from the Netherlands — no such products have entered the U.S.
