Sale of Champions benefits youth

The Missouri State Fair Sale of Champions culminates the project year for 4-H and FFA youth showing at the fair. The sale, on Saturday, August 19th, the day before the end of the State Fair, is overseen, as it has been for many years, by Wayne Yokley, chairman of the Youth in Agriculture Committee. Saturday afternoon, the animals that have taken the top two spots for their species will enter the ring. Yokley says thanks to generous bidders, benefits will go to top showmen, and the committee will provide scholarships to other youth.
