A new 501-C4 group has formed called Family Farm Action and its president says they will go “toe-to-toe” with national groups like the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association (NCBA), “Who,” Joe Maxwell says, “Just cut a lousy deal on the China trade deal allowing Mexican beef and Canadian beef to be brought into the U.S., processed in the U.S. and sold as U.S. beef. How fair is that to the cattle producers of the United States?!” Maxwell, a former Missouri Lieutenant Governor who recently worked for the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), tells Brownfield Ag News too many elected officials support that kind of policy that is bad for family farmers, rural communities and national security.
