Direct cash cattle trade is quiet following active trade earlier in the week.  Cattle business actually looks to be complete for the week.  Asking prices on the few cattle left on showlists are around $115 to $116 in the South and $185 plus in the North.

Boxed beef cutouts are mixed on light to moderate movement.  Choice is down $.86 at $199.77 and Select is up $.16 at $196.35.

At the Cattleman’s Livestock Auction in Texas, feeder steers and heifers were steady in a very light test.
