Wisconsin farmers took advantage of early week weather to harvest small grains, hay, and forage crops. The USDA’s National Ag Statistic Service reporters say the sun was out about four-and-a-half days until much of the state experienced a soaking rain on Thursday as the State Fair opened.
Eighty percent of the corn is at or beyond silking stage with 17% in the dough stage and pollination in full swing. Eighty-seven percent of the soybeans are blooming.
