Central Minnesota received some much-needed rain, but farmers in northern and southern Minnesota counties were wishing for more. The USDA’s National Ag Statistics Service reporters say 80% of the corn is good to excellent with 36% in the dough stage. Reporters say soybeans look good with nearly all of the crop blooming now and 71% of the soybeans setting pods. Nearly all of the dry edible beans are blooming
Nearly all small grain crops have turned color, and nine percent of the spring wheat crop has been harvested.
