Direct cash cattle markets are quiet, as buyers and sellers assess how much business still needs to be done this week. Given the mostly moderate activity Wednesday and Thursday, some areas could be wrapped up, while other areas probably still have some trading left to do. Asking prices are around $120 on the live basis in the South and $190 to $192 dressed in the North, with bids of $117 live and $187 to $188 dressed.
