National Biodiesel Board CEO Donnell Rehagen asked the EPA Tuesday to consider higher volumes of advanced biofuels and biomass-based diesel.
“We’re a little concerned about what the EPA has proposed,” said Rehagen Tuesday, following his testimony. “It’s not the growth that we would like to see and that we know our industry can deliver, and so that’s what wanted to share with the EPA is our knowledge of what we know we can do to move those volumes even higher than what they’re suggesting.”
The EPA’s current numbers shortchange progress in the biodiesel industry, according to Rehagen.
