Iowan builds model farm equipment out of wood

When I first walked up to Jim De Boer’s display at the Plymouth County Fair in Le Mars, Iowa, it looked like just another nice collection of diecast model farm toys. Nothing out of the ordinary.
Then I noticed the sign saying “Everything made out of wood”. In talking with Jim, I found out that this 88-year old Orange City, Iowa resident has been building model farm implements, out of wood, ever since he was a boy.
