Chicago Mercantile Exchange live and feeder cattle futures both traded higher, feeders had additional support from the lower corn market. August closed up $.80 at $112.80 and October closed up $.92 at $112.87. August feeders closed up $3.00 at $139.17 and September up $2.80 at $149.45. Lean hogs closed lower on expanding market ready numbers. August lean hogs closed down $.50 at $79.80 and October closed down $1.62 at $64.40.
Direct cash cattle trade has been fairly quiet with just a few scattered bids.
