The Purdue/CME Group Ag Economy Barometer turned higher in July. It’s a change from several months of stagnation. The index of farmer sentiment, based on a monthly survey of 400 producers across the country, reached 139 in July – its highest level since January 2017.
“A lot of this has been keyed off of an increase in that sub-indices of the index of current conditions,” Purdue agriculture economist David Widmar told Brownfield Ag News.
