The USDA’s national corn condition rating declined slightly last week, while soybeans improved a little. Weather was mixed most of last week, better for development in some areas than in other, but midweek a lot of the Midwest and Plains did see a break from hotter than normal temperatures.
61% of U.S. corn is in good to excellent shape, down 1% on the week, and 13% is poor to very poor, up 1%.
