A commodity group leader anxious about the renegotiation of NAFTA recently heard assurances trade relations with Mexico are improving.
Harold Wolle, president of the Minnesota Corn Growers Association, says Mexico’s Ambassador to the U.S. Geronimo Guitierrez spoke at Corn Congress last week.
“He says trade relations are better now (and) that Mexico was close to pulling out of NAFTA with dark consequences for both countries. So I think we’re at the point now where we have positive relations between both countries.”
He tells Brownfield Guitierrez discussed a goal of the Mexican government that would benefit U.S.
