The general counsel for the Equipment Dealers Association says right-to-repair legislation is not needed.
“The vast majority of the repair information that the average farmer needs and wants is already available.”
Natalie Higgins tells Brownfield after being introduced in 11 state legislatures this year, including Minnesota, Illinois, Iowa, Missouri and Nebraska, right-to-repair legislation only made it out of committee in New Jersey.
She says repair information that is currently restricted is generally because of safety and environmental concerns.
